iBwave Showcasing its Small Cell and Wi‑Fi Planning Innovations at 2015 Mobile World Congress

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain – February 27th 2015 – As the global standard for in-building software and training, iBwave is excited to showcase its groundbreaking Small Cell and Wi-Fi innovations and demonstrate its most recent successes at the world’s greatest mobile event, the 2015 GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

The company, which today offers the most comprehensive portfolio for planning, deploying and documenting in-building wireless networks, has consistently positioned itself as an industry trailblazer. Since launching the first mobile solution for indoor Small Cells and Wi-Fi planning last year, it has continued to deliver more innovation for its Android-based application which now provides:

  • an extensive list of multi-technology Small Cells and Wi-Fi access points from all key vendors, modeled in its components database;
  • fast and accurate wireless network visualization and RF propagation analysis;
  • fully integrated Wi-Fi signal collection & display which is used to generate data throughput maps;
  • seamless integration with best-in-class RF collection tool vendors including AniteAscomAccuverFalcon Kit and Solutelia (with other vendors to follow shortly)

Now proven and tested around the world, its mobile application has demonstrated a wide range of capabilities. For example, a deployment conducted by a leading tier-one operator in a 7-floor warehouse in the United States using the iBwave Mobile Planner tool has resulted in an estimated 10 hours of time saving; the Small Cell survey, planning and design process was completed in a single site visit lasting only two hours.

“Since launching our Android-based Small Cell planning solution a year ago, we have added exciting innovations that have led our customers to save at least 60% in time and cost compared to conventional methods. We’re excited with these results as our goal is to make our customers’ lives easier, which we’re now starting to see in the planning of Small Cell deployments in different regions of the world,” explained Benoit Fleury, iBwave’s VP of Products and Innovation. “Being an integral part of our overall portfolio, we’re also ensuring that this field-based planning solution adheres to the iBwave quality, scale and support that we are known for.”

“Simplifying pre and post installation processes for small cells is very important to adoption,” said Art King, Director of Enterprise Services and Technologies with SpiderCloud Wireless. “Working with iBwave to help capture accurate and complete building information, in an industry-recognized format, speeds up the process for our customers.”

iBwave will be presenting its “Latest Innovations and Successes in Streamlining Indoor Small Cells Planning”, jointly with SpiderCloud Wireless at the Small Cell Forum stand (#7F61) on Wednesday, March 4th at 11 a.m and 3 p.m. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Nathalie Robitaille, iBwave’s VP of Marketing to schedule a private meeting/demo and visit our special MWC’15 webpage for further information.
