iBwave Wins Silver at NBC SME Awards

iBwave’s Worldwide Exportation Performance Wins Them Silver at National Bank of Canada Provincial SME Awards. iBwave came in second amongst the six best exporting enterprise finalists and won the silver prize at the National Bank of Canada SME Awards for the province of Quebec, Canada

Montreal, Canada – November 10, 2008 – iBwave is honored to announce that it has won the silver prize in the SME exporting category during the 15th edition of the National Bank Financial Groups’ recognition program the National Bank of Canada SME Awards during the provincial ceremony held last Friday November 7, 2008 in Montreal.

“Since the creation of iBwave in 2003, we have exported our in-building design software and solutions in more than 45 countries across five continents. In just five years we have accomplished tremendous growth worldwide. We strive to constantly improve the design experience with cutting-edge technologies and we have found incremental ways to grow in the process as the ultimate wireless indoor industry standard design and planning software,” said Mario Bouchard, President and CEO of iBwave. “Part of our accomplishments can be attributed to our team, where creative minds, innovation and expertise are key elements to our success,” he adds.

When iBwave was created five years ago, the growth of the in-building industry was slow and stagnant and predictions of future growth were unsure. Over the years, the proliferation of worldwide demands for an in-building design and planning standardized tool have prospered and started down new avenues to growth. iBwave’s ground-breaking software is a mature product that rightly fits with today’s rapid growth of the wireless in-building industry market. Since 2003, iBwave has evolved with iBwave Design, its flagship product, from product innovation to emphasize demand innovation, which entails understanding the higher-order needs of the entire in-building industry chain to create service and product solutions that directly addressed those needs.

“SMEs are the backbone of the economies of Quebec and Canada,” said Louis Vachon, President and CEO of National Bank of Canada. “Not only do they create jobs that add to collective prosperity, but they also play a vital role in the growth and development of society. The National Bank of Canada SME Awards finalists are men and women who are determined and engaged visionaries, who through their relentless work and excellent results, have demonstrated an ability to operate successfully in a highly competitive environment. In a context where resources are sometimes limited,” he added, “meeting the demanding requirements of constant evolution while maintaining sound management of people and materials is no small feat.”

The awards ceremony took place in Montreal and more than 200 people were present. Finalists, National Bank representatives and leaders of the business community were part of the attendees. The prize winners of the SME exporting category were selected amongst the National Bank of Canada SME provincial finalists according to their recent exporting successes in their relative markets. The winners were selected by a panel of individuals from the business community under a wary process supervised by the professional services firm Samson Bélair/Deloitte & Touche.
