iBwave CEO, Mario Bouchard, Wins Québec Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in Information Technology Category
Montreal CANADA - OCTOBER 7, 2011 – Mario Bouchard, the President and CEO of iBwave, a Canadian company offering innovative software solutions to the worldwide in-building wireless ecosystem, is the 2011 winner of the Québec Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in the Information Technology category.
For Bouchard, acquiring the award is a momentous achievement. “It is a very exciting recognition,” he explains, “it is one thing to gain success in business. But to be recognized by your peers and the financial world, it definitely gives the drive to keep striving forward.” He believes the growth of iBwave has just started, as there remains an entire indoor wireless market that is still untapped.
As a previous in-building engineering manager, Bouchard had a vision of creating a standard platform where the interdependent ecosystem of wireless operators, system integrators and equipment manufacturers could share information and work closely together, to offer optimum mobile voice and data service inside buildings. Bouchard set out to create an international standardizing tool, he launched iBwave in 2003, and has seen substantial company growth ever since.
