iBwave Launches Product Suite Upgrade

iBwave Design 6.2 and iBwave Mobile 1.1 Promise Carrier Grade Wi-Fi Capabilities, Faster Propagation, New 3D Viewer, Antenna Patterns in 3D and more

MONTREAL, August 15, 2012 – iBwave, the standard for in-building software and training, is thrilled to announce the launch of a new product suite upgrade with iBwave Design 6.2 and iBwave Mobile 1.1. The iBwave Design upgrade includes improvements to better model carrier grade Wi-Fi networks, greater propagation performance, a new 3D viewer and 3D antenna pattern viewer. iBwave Mobile 1.1 offers easier site surveys and better synchronicity with iBwave Design and iBwave Unity, the in-building networks management platform.

This latest version of iBwave Design features many improvements to better model carrier-grade Wi-Fi networks with an improved management of channel interferences, allowing RF professionals to use the same software for cellular and Wi-Fi network planning. iBwave Design 6.2 also comes with a faster propagation model and includes a brand new 3D viewer to view the exact location of equipment from inside the building, as well as a new 3D antenna pattern viewer in order to view antennas’ radiation properties.

iBwave Mobile allows RF professionals to use their mobile device as a practical tool that collects building information. iBwave Mobile version 1.1 includes the option to view the design plan from iBwave Design and select existing pictures from the camera roll and photo library in order to import floor plan images received by email or RF measurement images captured in field test mode. iBwave Mobile 1.1 also has a new annotation navigation mode to quickly view all pictures and videos associated with each project.
