Montreal QC, April 28th 2016 – iBwave is happy to announce that it has been shortlisted for the 2016 Small Cell Forum Awards in the “HetNet management software and services” category.

iBwave’s joint entry with SpiderCloud highlights how network densification will accelerate the road to 5G and increase the need for fully integrated heterogeneous networks (HetNet). The entry presents an actual case study of a Tier-1 operator call center installation which exemplifies the effectiveness of HetNet at all levels.

“As technologies converge and mobile data traffic continues to grow, the demand for more integrated heterogeneous networks is increasing as well. We are proud to be recognized in the small cell award’s HetNet category, as we continue to empower our customers so they can better plan, design and deploy these networks, no matter how simple or complex they are”, said Benoit Fleury VP of Product Line Management at iBwave.

The Small Cell Industry Awards are open to the entire small cell ecosystem and attract a record number of entries from vendors and operators worldwide. The winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges consisting of highly respected analysts, journalists and industry experts.

The winners of the 8th annual awards will be announced on Wednesday 11th May 2016, at the Small Cell Worlds Summit Gala at the Intercontinental O2 Hotel in London.
