MONTREAL / MILPITAS, May 26, 2015 – JDSU, an industry-leading provider of instruments, software and services that enable next-generation networks and services, and iBwave, the industry standard for indoor wireless solutions, announced today that JDSU is integrating support of iBwave Mobile with the latest version of the JDSU RANAdvisor TrueSite test solution. This combination, along with other upgrades, will provide advanced improvements in enabling customers to validate cellular performance of DAS and small cell deployments, both indoor and outdoor, to help ensure high quality mobile service.
The popular JDSU TrueSite solution now offers a dedicated survey mode available in the test manager menu. This introduces more efficiency by allowing the collection of RF and cellular data in early surveys that is then automatically transferred to iBwave Mobile when running on the same device with TrueSite.
iBwave software is used by nearly 700 global leading telecom operators, system integrators and equipment manufacturers worldwide. iBwave Mobile is an innovative indoor planning and design application that makes it easy for engineers and technicians to create complete small cell and Wi-Fi projects directly from the field, using their smartphone or tablet.
The portable, cloud-enabled JDSU TrueSite is an Android-based app that allows a technician to discreetly gather data from up to six smartphones and a scanner receiver. TrueSite minimizes repeat data capture trips and post-processing by automatically identifying and geolocating missing/faulty antennas and macro ingress issues during collection.
