Training & Certification Policies


EXAMINATION POLICY

All training exercises and exams must be completed using the student's dedicated iBwave software license or dedicated trial license. Exams completed by another person or with another person's iBwave license or shared license will not be accepted and will result in refusal of certification.

The following exam timeline is required for the different training formats listed below, with the exception of customized or private classes.

  • In-Class sessions: exams must be completed in class during the session.
  • Virtual Class sessions: exams must be completed within the 7-day period after the session.
  • Online sessions: exams must be completed before the course expiration date.

Passing score on the exam is 75%. Upon failing the exam, an exam retake fee will be applicable. An exam retake must be completed within 3 months of the previous examination date. After the 3-month period, the user must retake the certification in order to complete the certification. Upon failing an exam retake, the user must redo the entire certification.

Any deliberate misrepresentation of the exam results in immediate refusal of certification and future registrations.
 

CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULES, AND NO-SHOW POLICIES

In the event the customer elects to cancel more than five business days before an In-Class or Virtual Class session start date, user can take the course online or attend a future session within 6 months of purchase date. No refunds offered.

Should a cancellation for an In-Class or Virtual Class session occur LESS than five business days prior to the session start date, user will be charged a penalty fee of $495 USD. User can take the course online or elect to attend a future session (pending availability) within 6 months of purchase date. No refunds offered.

No Shows: No refunds will be made for a person who registers for the training but does not cancel or attend the training class.

If a customer switches their In-Class or Virtual Class seat with another person, s/he must notify iBwave five business days prior to the event in order to receive all necessary communications.

iBwave reserves the right to cancel an in-class session ten days prior to the course start date without liability for expenses incurred by registrant and inform registrants of the next available in-class course dates, or registrant can choose to take the course online.

Courses are non-refundable.
 

DESCRIPTION OF ONLINE COURSES

Each Online Training or Certification course is available for one year after enrollment. If a printed manual is purchased, it will be shipped to the given mailing address.

Online certification programs can be started at the student’s discretion at any time within a year from the purchase date. It is up to the student to plan enough time to get through the course and exam before the course expiration date.

If needed, a 30-day trial license can be requested for certification purposes only. (Note: iBwave trial license does not run in a virtual environment.)

Note: To change from Online to In-Class or Virtual Class format, a change fee equal to the difference in price between Online and the selected format will be applied. Not applicable for the iBwave Wi-Fi® Mobile certification course.
 

DESCRIPTION OF IN-CLASS COURSES

Students will receive recommended pre-course fundamentals to complete online. These fundamentals serve as background theory that can help comprehension of course material. Instructional emails will be sent shortly after registration.

Exams are to be completed in class on the last day of the session.

Students will receive a 15-day trial license to be used during the in-class session at least five business days before the session starts. (Note: iBwave trial license does not run in a virtual environment.)

In-class training fees exclude travel, lodging and out-of-pocket expenses.
 

DESCRIPTION OF VIRTUAL CLASSROOM COURSES

Students will receive recommended pre-course fundamentals to complete online. These fundamentals serve as background theory that can help comprehension of course material. Instructional emails will be sent shortly after registration.

Exams are to be completed online up to 7 days after the end of the session.

Students will receive a 20-day trial license to be used during the Virtual Classroom session at least five business days before the sessions starts. This extended trial license allows the student to complete the online exam 7 days after the session. (Note: iBwave trial license does not run in a virtual environment.)
 

COURSE EXPIRATION

Once a course is purchased, registrants must attend/complete the course within a year of the purchase date. Extensions beyond the stated limits are at the discretion of iBwave and will be subject to a fee.
 

CERTIFICATION EXPIRATION

Certification is valid for three years after the date of successful completion. A renewal of certificate is required to remain certified. A renewal fee will apply. For more information, please visit our recertification page.
 

RESPONSIBILITY OF CUSTOMER (CONDUCT)

Prerequisite requirements: iBwave reserves the right to refuse or limit any services for training if a Customer fails to satisfy the requirements for a training course as published or provided to Customer by iBwave prior to the start of such course. In such cases no refund or cancellation fee will be paid.

Good conduct: iBwave reserves the right to refuse, limit or cancel any training if a Customer in the opinion of iBwave, has displayed unreasonable behavior or is deemed to be violent, abusive or disruptive. In such cases no refund or cancellation fee will be paid.

Ownership of Materials: Ownership of all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the iBwave course material, including any documentation, data, technical information and know-how provided to Customer as part of the training remains vested in the owner of the course materials. All such information shall be held in confidence and may not be disclosed or copied to third parties, without the express written permission of iBwave.
 

TRAINING SUPPORT

Training support is provided from Monday to Friday, between 9AM and 5PM EST - contact Training.

Limited support for license issues and course extensions are provided on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday to Friday between 5PM and 9AM EST - contact [email protected] (emails will be addressed within 24 hours)
 

WARRANTY

iBwave warrants that its personnel are suitably qualified and experienced to perform Training. Except as expressly represented otherwise, and to the extent not prohibited by law, all Training, including any documentation, publications, software programs or code, and other information provided by or on behalf of iBwave or its suppliers to Customer is furnished on an 'AS-IS' basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise especially as to quality, reliability, timeliness, usefulness, sufficiency and accuracy. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF CONDITION, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED BY iBWAVE. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION PROVIDED BY iBWAVE SHALL CREATE A WARRANTY UNLESS INCORPORATED INTO THESE TERMS.
 

ANY DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO CIRCUMVENT THE RULES HEREIN MAY RESULT IN THE REFUSAL OR REVOCATION OF CERTIFICATION.
